The answers
Below are the answers to the most frequently asked questions about NATIVITAS · Christmas Winter Garden. When something has not been announced yet we say so: we will post it here as soon as it is.
When does NATIVITAS open and close?
NATIVITAS opens to the public from 27 November to 10 January 2027, after an invitation-only opening on 26 November. The Orangerie, ice rink, hospitality and SYNTONY carry on with the Winter Experience until 14 February 2027. Entry is free; opening hours are to be announced.
Where is it?
In Piazza Città di Lombardia, Milan: the great covered square of Palazzo Lombardia, home of the Lombardy Region, in the heart of Porta Nuova.
How do I get there?
By metro: Garibaldi FS (M2, M5), 6 minutes on foot, or Centrale FS (M2, M3), 10. By tram: 9 and 10, Via Filzi / Via Galvani stop. The entrances are on via Restelli and in Piazzetta Galvani. Everything is in Getting here.
Is entry free?
Yes, entry is free. On the website you can book the rink and the aperitivo, without paying.
What are the ice rink opening hours?
The rink is open from 27 November 2026 to 14 February 2027, every day from 10am to 9pm. From December, on Fridays and Saturdays, and on 5 January, you can skate until 11.30pm. On hockey evenings, Wednesday 9, 16 and 23 December, 13, 20 and 27 January, 3 and 10 February, it closes at 7.30pm. On 24 and 31 December from 10am to 6pm, on 25 December from 3pm to 9pm, on 1 January from 10am to 9pm. The day-by-day details are on the ice rink page.
How do I book the ice rink?
On the website, by day: you choose the day you are coming. Your booking is for the day you come: tickets and sessions on the ice are arranged at the rink entrance. Prices are to be announced. Book the rink.
How do I book the aperitivo?
On the website, by time slot: you choose the day and time from those available and receive a reminder email. The aperitivo is at the Christmas Bistrot & Lounge, in the Cathedral, every evening from 5.30pm to 9pm, from 27 November 2026 to 14 February 2027. Menu and prices are to be announced. Book the aperitivo.
Can I book the gala dinners?
No: the gala dinners are by invitation only and cannot be booked on the website. For company dinners and parties or private events, write to letizia@nativitasmilano.it or anna@nativitasmilano.it.
How do I visit the Belvedere?
The Belvedere, on the 39th floor of Palazzo Lombardia, is open to the public on 2 December from 6pm to 9pm, and on 5, 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 19 and 20 December and 6 January from 10am to 6pm. Bookings on the Regione Lombardia portal (opens in a new tab).
What is SYNTONY?
It is the interactive light artwork by Adriano Lombardo: in the square, from their phone and in ten languages, anyone can write a thought, which becomes a star on the great wall of light. Discover SYNTONY.
What is there for children?
The carousel in Piazzetta Galvani, the ice rink, Sundays for the little ones in front of the great LEDwall in the Cathedral, and family activities, open at all hours.
How do I get the news?

Is NATIVITAS the same as other initiatives called «Nativitas»?
No. The Christmas installation by One Event Builders in the covered square of Palazzo Lombardia (Piazza Città di Lombardia, Milan), open to the public from 27 November 2026 to 10 January 2027: the Journey of light on via Restelli, the NATIVITAS 8.0 tree by the Creative Factory of Andrea Battivello (Bottega Ventisei), the Orangerie with the ice rink, the Cathedral with the bistro, SYNTONY. Not to be confused with other cultural or religious initiatives called «Nativitas».
