The heart of Christmas in the square
The ice rink has always been the heart of Christmas in Piazza Città di Lombardia, and with NATIVITAS · Christmas Winter Garden it returns to the great covered square of Palazzo Lombardia, in Milan. It lies behind the glass Cathedral, in the southern half of the covered square; the skate exchange is beside the greenhouse.
It opens on 27 November 2026, the day NATIVITAS opens to the public, and stays on after the holidays: with the Winter Experience, together with the Orangerie and hospitality, you can skate until 14 February 2027.

When to skate
The rink is open from 27 November 2026 to 14 February 2027, every day from 10am to 9pm. From December, on Fridays and Saturdays, and on 5 January, you can skate until 11.30pm. On hockey evenings, Wednesday 9, 16 and 23 December, 13, 20 and 27 January, 3 and 10 February, it closes at 7.30pm. On 24 and 31 December from 10am to 6pm, on 25 December from 3pm to 9pm, on 1 January from 10am to 9pm.

How to book
The rink is booked by day, here on the website: tap «Book the rink», choose the day you are coming from the calendar, leave your name and email and you will receive a reminder, with a link to cancel if your plans change. Your booking is for the day you come: tickets and sessions on the ice are arranged at the rink entrance. Nothing is paid on the website.
Prices for tickets and skate hire have not been announced yet: to be announced. We will post them here as soon as they are out.

Next door is the glass Cathedral, with the Christmas Bistrot & Lounge: the aperitivo can also be booked on the website, every evening from 5.30pm to 9pm. In Piazzetta Galvani the carousel and the 8-metre tree are waiting for you; at the Regione Lombardia entrance stands the NATIVITAS 8.0 tree. To reach the square: getting here.
