What NATIVITAS is

Not a Christmas market, but a place of light, encounter, culture and wonder in the heart of Milan. NATIVITAS tells the story of birth as rebirth: of the city, of public space, of the energy that is born when people come together.

The journey begins along via Restelli, with the Nativitas Journey: 230 metres of luminous sculptures, trees of light and monumental candles. Two LEDwall portals welcome visitors. At the entrance of Palazzo Lombardia rises the NATIVITAS 8.0 tree, a 12-metre sculpture of steel and mirrored Dibond, in silver and gold, that multiplies the light. At the centre, the Orangerie: a 550 m² glass Cathedral with the Christmas Bistrot & Lounge, the aperitivo every evening, concerts, talks and tastings. Behind it, the ice rink; in Piazzetta Galvani the carousel; on the 39th floor the Belvedere. And SYNTONY, the interactive light artwork by Adriano Lombardo, where the thoughts of the square become stars.

In three editions, Christmas in Piazza Città di Lombardia has grown from 52,000 to 105,000 visits (+102%); with NATIVITAS the deliberately cautious estimate is a further +30%. Data and estimates: One Event Builders, based on data from Regione Lombardia, the City of Milan and ISTAT.

Not to be confused. The Christmas installation by One Event Builders in the covered square of Palazzo Lombardia (Piazza Città di Lombardia, Milan), open to the public from 27 November 2026 to 10 January 2027: the Journey of light on via Restelli, the NATIVITAS 8.0 tree by the Creative Factory of Andrea Battivello (Bottega Ventisei), the Orangerie with the ice rink, the Cathedral with the bistro, SYNTONY. Not to be confused with other cultural or religious initiatives called «Nativitas».
